Dracotail is a Fusion deck whose monsters pay you for being Fusion Material: each one that goes to the GY that way Sets a Dracotail Spell or Trap from your Deck. You end on two Fusions, two or three Set Traps and a Faimena in your hand that can Fusion Summon again on their turn. This list adds the Branded engine (Fallen of the White Dragon, the two Ecclesias, Cartesia) for more Fusions, The Fallen & The Virtuous, Mirrorjade and Albion the Sanctifire Dragon. Every line here is built on the decklist near the end of this page, under the Forbidden/Limited list that took effect on October 6, 2026.
Engines
Dracotail
- Fusion at Quick speed. Dracotail Faimena discards itself from your hand to Fusion Summon a Dragon or Spellcaster. Dracotail Mululu Fusion Summons a Dracotail Fusion from the field. Both work in either player’s Main Phase.
- Normal Spells that fuse or search. Rahu Dracotail Fusion Summons and can take the Dracotail material from your Deck. Ketu Dracotail adds a Dracotail monster (and fuses too, if they control a monster).
- Material pays you. Faimena, Mululu, Urgula, Pan, Phryxul and Lukias each Set a Dracotail Spell/Trap when they’re Fusion Material. Urgula also destroys a Spell/Trap, Pan a monster, and Mululu negates a monster.
- The Fusions. Dracotail Arthalion needs a Dracotail monster plus at least one monster from your hand, and returns one card from the field or a GY to the hand for each material that came from your hand. Dracotail Gulamel needs a Dracotail monster plus exactly one monster from your hand, and destroys one of their cards whenever you activate a Dracotail card or effect.
- The loop. Urgula in your GY goes to the bottom of your Deck to add Faimena back from your GY, so Faimena ends in your hand.
Branded
- Fallen of the White Dragon counts as Fallen of Albaz. It summons itself from your hand by sending an Albaz Fusion from your Extra Deck to the GY, and when it’s summoned it summons Incredible Ecclesia from your Deck.
- Ecclesia and the Dark Dragon (a Synchro of the two) banishes itself until the End Phase to summon Blazing Cartesia, the Virtuous, and Cartesia Fusion Summons a Level 8 or higher at Quick speed: a second Fusion engine.
- The End Phase pays you. Albion the Branded Dragon Sets The Fallen & The Virtuous (F&V) if it went to your GY that turn. Cartesia and Incredible Ecclesia come back to your hand if any Fusion went to your GY. Ecclesia and the Dark Dragon returns to the field.
- Predaplant Verte Anaconda sends Branded Fusion from your Deck to use its effect: one last Fusion (Mirrorjade or Albion the Sanctifire Dragon) after every lock.
- On their turn, Ecclesia and the Dark Dragon or Incredible Ecclesia summons Fallen of Albaz, and Albaz fuses with one of their monsters.
Once per turn, by name
A second copy doesn’t reset any of these. On their turn they’re all available again.
- Each Dracotail name Sets once. Six names Set (Faimena, Mululu, Urgula, Pan, Phryxul, Lukias). Plan which name Sets which card: Rahu or Ketu first, then the Traps.
- Faimena’s Fusion, Mululu’s Fusion, Urgula’s add, Pan’s revive, Phryxul’s revive, Lukias’s search
- One Ketu, one Rahu, one Branded Fusion, one F&V, one of each Trap
- Each of Arthalion’s and Gulamel’s effects
- Each of Fallen of the White Dragon’s, Incredible Ecclesia’s, Cartesia’s and Ecclesia and the Dark Dragon’s effects
Locks and order
- Rahu and Mululu: after they resolve, only Fusion Monsters from your Extra Deck this turn. Branded Fusion: the same, for the whole turn you activate it, and you can’t activate it after a non-Fusion Extra Deck summon.
- Fallen of the White Dragon from your hand: only Level 8 Fusion or Synchro Monsters from your Extra Deck. A Normal Summoned one locks nothing.
- Verte Anaconda’s Fusion: no more Special Summons that turn. It’s always last.
- So: Synchro and Link first (Ecclesia and the Dark Dragon, Verte), then Rahu, Mululu or the hand-summoned Fallen of the White Dragon, then Verte’s Fusion.
- Faimena’s discard is a cost. A discarded Faimena doesn’t Set anything; it only Sets when it’s Fusion Material.
- Mululu’s Fusion works only from the field. Normal Summon it first.
Going first
Another monster
Arthalion and Gulamel need a monster from your hand as material, so most Dracotail lines need a second monster: a hand trap, Fallen of Albaz, Bystial Magnamhut, or a spare Cartesia or Incredible Ecclesia. Going first, give up Mulcharmy Fuwalos first: it only works while you control no cards, so it’s dead on their turn. Then Nibiru, then the rest. Keep Ash and Effect Veiler.
Which line
- Lukias + Faimena or Urgula (Line 2): two cards, Mirrorjade and three Traps.
- Fallen of the White Dragon or Incredible Ecclesia + a Dracotail monster + another monster (Line 5): the biggest board.
- Lukias, Ketu or Rahu + another monster (Lines 1 and 3): the short line, two Special Summons. Play it into Maxx “C” or a Mulcharmy.
- Branded Fusion or Fallen of the White Dragon alone (Lines 6 and 7): no second card needed.
- Two lines fit? The Match helper at the top compares them.
Line 1: Lukias + another monster
Activate Ketu Dracotail and add Dracotail Lukias. Skip this step if Lukias is already in your hand.
Normal Summon Dracotail Lukias. Its effect adds Dracotail Faimena from your Deck.
Faimena’s Quick Effect: discard it, and Fusion Summon Dracotail Arthalion using Lukias from your field and the other monster from your hand.
Chain Arthalion’s effect and Lukias’s GY effect. Lukias Sets Rahu Dracotail from your Deck, and Arthalion returns Faimena from your GY to your hand.
Activate Rahu: Fusion Summon Dracotail Gulamel using Dracotail Urgula from your Deck and Faimena from your hand.
Chain Faimena’s and Urgula’s GY effects. Faimena Sets Dracotail Flame and Urgula Sets Dracotail Sting from your Deck.
Urgula’s other GY effect: place Urgula on the bottom of your Deck and add Faimena from your GY to your hand. End your turn.
With Rahu in your hand
Rahu is a single copy, so Lukias Sets a Trap instead, and you end with three Traps.
- Activate Ketu Dracotail and add Dracotail Lukias. Skip this step if Lukias is already in your hand.
- Normal Summon Dracotail Lukias. Its effect adds Dracotail Faimena from your Deck.
- Faimena’s Quick Effect: discard it, and Fusion Summon Dracotail Arthalion using Lukias from your field and the other monster from your hand.
- Chain Arthalion’s effect and Lukias’s GY effect. Lukias Sets Dracotail Sting instead of Rahu, and Arthalion returns Faimena from your GY to your hand.
- Activate the Rahu Dracotail in your hand: Fusion Summon Dracotail Gulamel using Dracotail Urgula from your Deck and Faimena from your hand.
- Chain Faimena’s and Urgula’s GY effects. Faimena Sets Dracotail Flame and Urgula Sets Dracotail Horn from your Deck.

Secreterion’s effect: target Urgula and Lukias in your GY. Special Summon Urgula, and Lukias goes to the bottom of your Deck.
Link Summon Predaplant Verte Anaconda using Urgula and Secreterion.
Urgula’s other GY effect: place Urgula on the bottom of your Deck and add Faimena from your GY to your hand.
Activate Rahu: Fusion Summon Dracotail Arthalion using Faimena and Pan from your hand and Dracotail Mululu from your Deck.
Chain Arthalion’s effect with the three GY effects. Faimena Sets Dracotail Flame, Pan Sets Dracotail Horn and Mululu Sets Dracotail Sting, and Arthalion returns Faimena and Pan from your GY to your hand.
Verte Anaconda’s effect: pay 2000 LP and send Branded Fusion from your Deck to the GY to use its effect. Fusion Summon Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon using Fallen of the White Dragon from your Deck and Verte Anaconda. End your turn.
Starting with Ketu
Ketu with Lukias, Faimena or Urgula plays the same line. Ketu is used up front, so Lukias Sets Rahu and there’s no Pan.
- Activate Ketu Dracotail. Add Dracotail Lukias, or Dracotail Urgula if Lukias is already in your hand.
- Normal Summon Dracotail Lukias. Its effect adds whichever of Dracotail Faimena and Dracotail Urgula isn’t in your hand.
- Faimena’s Quick Effect: discard it, and Fusion Summon Secreterion Dragon using Lukias from your field and Urgula from your hand.

- Chain Arthalion’s effect with Faimena’s and Mululu’s GY effects. Faimena Sets Dracotail Horn and Mululu Sets Dracotail Sting, and Arthalion returns Faimena from your GY to your hand.
- Verte Anaconda’s effect: pay 2000 LP and send Branded Fusion from your Deck to the GY to use its effect. Fusion Summon Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon using Fallen of the White Dragon from your Deck and Verte Anaconda. End your turn.
You end on the same board, with Faimena in your hand but no Pan.
Line 3: Rahu + another monster
Activate Rahu Dracotail: Fusion Summon Dracotail Arthalion using Dracotail Faimena from your Deck and the other monster from your hand.
Chain Arthalion’s effect and Faimena’s GY effect. Faimena Sets Ketu Dracotail from your Deck, and Arthalion returns Faimena from your GY to your hand.
Activate Ketu and add Dracotail Lukias. They control no monster, so Ketu can’t Fusion Summon.
Normal Summon Lukias. Its effect adds Dracotail Urgula from your Deck.
Faimena’s Quick Effect: discard it, and Fusion Summon Dracotail Gulamel using Lukias from your field and Urgula from your hand.
Chain Lukias’s and Urgula’s GY effects. Lukias Sets Dracotail Flame and Urgula Sets Dracotail Sting from your Deck.
Urgula’s other GY effect: place Urgula on the bottom of your Deck and add Faimena from your GY to your hand. End your turn.
Line 4: Mululu + another monster
Normal Summon Dracotail Mululu.
Mululu’s Quick Effect: Fusion Summon Dracotail Arthalion using Mululu from your field and the other monster from your hand.
Chain Arthalion’s effect and Mululu’s GY effect. Mululu Sets Rahu Dracotail from your Deck (there’s nothing of theirs to negate), and Arthalion returns Mululu from your GY to your hand.
Activate Rahu: Fusion Summon Dracotail Gulamel using Dracotail Pan from your Deck and Mululu from your hand.
Pan’s GY effect Sets Dracotail Flame from your Deck. End your turn.
Line 5: Fallen of the White Dragon + a Dracotail monster + another monster
Normal Summon Fallen of the White Dragon. Its effect Special Summons Incredible Ecclesia, the Virtuous from your Deck. Normal Summon it, don’t use its hand effect yet: the hand effect allows only Level 8 Fusion or Synchro Monsters from your Extra Deck for the rest of the turn, so you couldn’t make Verte Anaconda (a Link Monster) in step 6. You use the hand effect in step 9, after Verte.
Starting with Incredible Ecclesia instead: Normal Summon Incredible Ecclesia, the Virtuous. Its Quick Effect Tributes it to Special Summon Fallen of the White Dragon from your Deck, and Fallen of the White Dragon’s summon effect brings Incredible Ecclesia back from your GY. Every step after this one is the same, with one summon more in the count.
Synchro Summon Ecclesia and the Dark Dragon using Fallen of the White Dragon and Incredible Ecclesia.
Ecclesia and the Dark Dragon’s Quick Effect: banish it until the End Phase, and Special Summon Blazing Cartesia, the Virtuous from your Deck.
Cartesia’s Quick Effect: Fusion Summon Dracotail Arthalion using your Dracotail monster and the other monster, both from your hand.
Chain Arthalion’s effect and the Dracotail monster’s GY effect. It Sets Rahu Dracotail from your Deck, and Arthalion returns that Dracotail monster and Fallen of the White Dragon from your GY to your hand.
Link Summon Predaplant Verte Anaconda using Arthalion and Cartesia.
Activate Rahu: Fusion Summon Dracotail Gulamel using your Dracotail monster from your hand and Dracotail Faimena from your Deck. If your Dracotail monster is Faimena, use Dracotail Urgula from your Deck instead.
The Faimena (or Urgula) you used from your Deck Sets Dracotail Flame with its GY effect.
Fallen of the White Dragon’s hand effect: send Albion the Branded Dragon from your Extra Deck to the GY, and Special Summon Fallen of the White Dragon.
Verte Anaconda’s effect: pay 2000 LP and send Branded Fusion from your Deck to the GY to use its effect. Fusion Summon Albion the Sanctifire Dragon using Fallen of Albaz and Dracotail Phryxul from your Deck (or the Phryxul in your hand, if you drew it). Phryxul’s GY effect Sets Dracotail Sting.
If you started with Faimena or Urgula: Urgula’s other GY effect places it on the bottom of your Deck and adds Faimena from your GY to your hand.
End your turn. In the End Phase, Albion the Branded Dragon Sets The Fallen & The Virtuous from your Deck, Cartesia and Incredible Ecclesia add themselves from your GY to your hand, and Ecclesia and the Dark Dragon returns to the field.
Line 6: Branded Fusion alone
Activate Branded Fusion: Fusion Summon Albion the Branded Dragon using Fallen of the White Dragon and Dracotail Phryxul from your Deck (or the Phryxul in your hand, if you drew it). Don’t use Albion’s effect.
Phryxul’s GY effect Sets Ketu Dracotail from your Deck.
Activate Ketu and add Dracotail Lukias. They control no monster, so Ketu can’t Fusion Summon.

Still in the End Phase, activate F&V from your hand: send Albion the Branded Dragon from your Extra Deck to the GY, and destroy your own Cartesia.
Albion’s GY effect Sets your second The Fallen & The Virtuous from your Deck. Cartesia and Incredible Ecclesia add themselves from your GY to your hand, and Ecclesia and the Dark Dragon returns to the field.
If they stop Fallen of the White Dragon's summon effect
Ash, Ghost Belle, Effect Veiler or Infinite Impermanence on its Ecclesia summon still leaves you F&V and an Albaz on their turn.
- Fallen of the White Dragon’s hand effect: send The Dragon that Devours the Dogma from your Extra Deck to the GY, and Special Summon Fallen of the White Dragon. They negate its summon effect.
- End your turn. In the End Phase, the Dogma’s GY effect adds The Fallen & The Virtuous from your Deck.

- In their Main Phase, Rindbrumm’s GY effect: Special Summon Fallen of the White Dragon from your GY, and banish Rindbrumm. Fallen of the White Dragon’s summon effect works again on their turn: Special Summon Incredible Ecclesia, the Virtuous from your Deck.
- Incredible Ecclesia’s Quick Effect: Tribute it to Special Summon Fallen of Albaz from your Deck. Discard a card, and Albaz fuses with one of their monsters.

Their turn
- A Trap, with GulamelActivate Flame on a Spell they activate, Horn on an Attack Position monster, or Sting on their GY. Gulamel’s Quick Effect answers your own Dracotail activation: chain it to the Trap and destroy one of their cards. Each Trap then puts a Dracotail card from your GY at the bottom of your Deck and draws you a card.
- MirrorjadeBanish one of their monsters without targeting it. Send Rindbrumm from your Extra Deck as the cost: in your GY on their turn, Rindbrumm summons the Fallen of the White Dragon from your GY, which summons Incredible Ecclesia from your Deck, which Tributes itself for Fallen of Albaz.
- Faimena, Mululu, CartesiaIn their Main Phase, discard Faimena, or use Mululu or Cartesia on the field, to Fusion Summon. Arthalion (a Dracotail monster from your field plus monsters from your hand) returns one of their monsters for each material from your hand; their Extra Deck monsters go back to the Extra Deck. Gulamel (a Dracotail monster from your field plus one from your hand) destroys one of their cards the next time you activate a Dracotail card. If Mululu is a material, it also Sets a Trap and negates one of their face-up monsters. If Gulamel is the material, chain its destroy first.
- AlbazEcclesia and the Dark Dragon banishes itself until the End Phase, or Incredible Ecclesia Tributes itself, to summon Fallen of Albaz in their Main Phase. Discard a card, and Albaz fuses with one of their monsters (which Fusion). Then the Fusion it makes: Mirrorjade (with their Extra Deck monster) banishes another monster, Rindbrumm (with their Beast, Beast-Warrior or Winged Beast) negates, and the Dragon that Devours the Dogma (with two of their monsters) shuffles two cards from the GYs back into the Deck.
- F&V and SanctifireF&V destroys a face-up card (send Titaniklad, Alba-Lenatus, Rindbrumm or the Dogma). Sanctifire summons two monsters from the GYs, one to each field: take a monster they need from their GY, or bring back Phryxul (it revives Faimena and returns it to your hand) or a Cartesia you discarded to Albaz (it fuses again).
How the counts work
Each item in a line’s interruption list in the Match helper is one play on their turn that negates or removes one of their cards.
- Gulamel destroy needs you to activate a Dracotail card or effect first: a Trap with a target, Faimena or Mululu. Once a turn.
- Faimena, Mululu and Cartesia each count once. Each Fusion needs a Dracotail monster on your field, a monster from your hand, and a Fusion left in your Extra Deck: you have two Arthalions and one Gulamel in all.
- Albaz needs a card to discard, one of their monsters that fits a Fusion, and their Main Phase.
- Albaz’s Fusion is a second item when Mirrorjade or Rindbrumm is still in your Extra Deck. It depends on their monster: an Extra Deck monster for Mirrorjade, a Beast, Beast-Warrior or Winged Beast for Rindbrumm, two monsters for the Dogma.
- Flame, Horn and Sting each need a target: a face-up Spell, an Attack Position monster, a card in their GY.
Not counted, but there
- Secreterion: while you control it, their Special Summoned Dragons and Spellcasters can’t activate effects.
- Pan in your GY: when they destroy one of your face-up Fusions, it revives a Dracotail monster from your GY.
- Arthalion and Gulamel in your GY: when 2 or more monsters go to any GY at once, they summon themselves (banished when they leave).
- Mirrorjade: if their card makes it leave the field, all their monsters are destroyed in the End Phase.
- The draws: Flame, Horn and Sting each draw you a card.

| Bricks | No Lukias, Ketu, Rahu, Mululu, Branded Fusion, Fallen of the White Dragon, Incredible Ecclesia or Cartesia with what it needs. Lukias, Ketu, Rahu and Mululu need a second monster in your hand: alone with only Spells and Traps they make nothing. Cartesia needs a Dracotail monster and another monster, or two Dracotail monsters. Faimena needs two Dracotail monsters, or a Dracotail monster and another monster. Urgula, Pan, Phryxul, Fallen of Albaz, Bystial Magnamhut, F&V and the Traps start nothing going first. | — |
Notes on the table
- Rahu in your hand in a line that Sets Rahu from your Deck: Set a Dracotail Trap with that effect instead, and activate the Rahu from your hand at the same point. You end with one Trap more.
- Lukias in your hand in a line where Ketu adds Lukias: have Ketu add the card Lukias would add, and Normal Summon the Lukias from your hand. Its own search then takes any Dracotail monster.
- Branded Fusion in your hand in a line that ends with Verte Anaconda: Verte can only send it from your Deck, and you can’t activate it after Verte. Stop before Verte’s Fusion; Verte stays on the field.
- Thanks to Equivalent_Topic9417 on Reddit for the Incredible Ecclesia + Lukias (or Ketu) + a Dragon lines.
- Phryxul in your hand in a line where Branded Fusion (or Verte’s copy of it) takes Phryxul from your Deck: use the Phryxul from your hand. Branded Fusion can take its material from your hand too, and you play only one Phryxul.
- Sanctifire instead of Mirrorjade in a line that ends with Verte Anaconda: Verte’s Branded Fusion can make Albion the Sanctifire Dragon from Fallen of Albaz and Dracotail Phryxul in your Deck instead, and Phryxul Sets a Dracotail Trap. Only do it when the line didn’t Set Dracotail Flame (Phryxul Sets it) and Phryxul is still in your Deck or hand: Mirrorjade’s banish is worth more than a second-best Trap.
- Set any F&V you drew. A Set one works on their turn; one in your hand doesn’t.
- Faimena in your hand with Lukias: that’s Line 2, not Line 1. Using a Faimena as “another monster” in Line 1 Sets a card a step early and changes the route.
Two hands, one line
- Ketu is a second copy of Lukias in Lines 1 and 2 and in the Pan or Mululu rows.
- Incredible Ecclesia is a second copy of Fallen of the White Dragon in Line 5.
- Faimena or Urgula with Lukias is Line 2. With Fallen of the White Dragon and another monster, they’re the best Dracotail monsters for Line 5 (you end with Faimena in hand).
Going second
- Their turn: hand trapsMulcharmy Fuwalos and Maxx “C” on their first Special Summon, Ash on their first search, Effect Veiler on a monster effect in their Main Phase, Nibiru after their fifth summon. Fuwalos only works while you control no cards, so going second is its turn.
- Your turn: Ketu fuses nowWith a monster on their field, Ketu Dracotail adds a Dracotail monster and then Fusion Summons straight away, from your hand and field.
- Arthalion returns their boardArthalion returns one card from the field or a GY for each material from your hand. Faimena with a Dracotail monster and two more monsters from your hand returns three. Their Extra Deck monsters go back to the Extra Deck.
- Material that removesPan as material destroys a monster, Urgula a Spell/Trap, and Mululu negates a monster. Each still Sets a Trap for your next turn.
- Albaz takes a monsterIncredible Ecclesia summons itself from your hand while they control more monsters than you. Its Quick Effect Tributes it for Fallen of Albaz, and Albaz fuses with their monster. Fallen of the White Dragon, Ecclesia and the Dark Dragon and Cartesia get you there too.
- Then buildFinish with a going-first line’s board if you have the cards: Gulamel and a Set Trap or two, or Mirrorjade from Verte Anaconda.
↺ Order of operations.
Which answer
| Their board | Answer |
|---|---|
| One big monster | Albaz fuses with it (which Fusion): it doesn’t target or destroy. Arthalion returns it. |
| A monster they protect from destruction (Elfnotes: Welcome Home, Kewl Tune Loudness War) | Albaz, Arthalion’s return, Mululu’s negate as material, Mirrorjade’s banish. None of them destroy; Albaz, Mululu and Mirrorjade don’t target. |
| Several monsters | Arthalion with two or three materials from your hand returns that many. Khaos Starsource Dragon destroys one of their cards for each LIGHT or DARK monster of yours used as its material (Mululu, Fallen of the White Dragon and Albaz are DARK). |
| Set Spells/Traps, or a Continuous one | Urgula as Fusion Material destroys one. F&V destroys a face-up one. |
| Their Mirrorjade | Return it with Arthalion: going back to the Extra Deck doesn’t set off its End Phase wipe. Destroying or banishing it, or using it as Albaz’s material, does. |
| A floodgate monster | Albaz or Arthalion, then build. S:P Little Knight banishes a card when you Link Summon it with a Fusion or Synchro as material. |
Albaz fusions
| Their monster | Fusion |
|---|---|
| A Fusion, Synchro, Xyz or Link Monster | Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon |
| A monster with 2500 or more ATK | Titaniklad the Ash Dragon |
| A LIGHT monster | Albion the Branded Dragon |
| A Dragon | Alba-Lenatus the Abyss Dragon |
| A Spellcaster | Secreterion Dragon (Albaz is the Dragon) |
| A Beast, Beast-Warrior or Winged Beast | Rindbrumm the Striking Dragon |
| A LIGHT Spellcaster | Albion the Sanctifire Dragon, if it’s still in your Extra Deck |
| Two monsters: one LIGHT or DARK, the other an Effect Monster | The Dragon that Devours the Dogma |
Hand traps
| Their hand trap | What it stops | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring | Ketu and Lukias’s searches, Rahu (it uses your Deck), Branded Fusion, Fallen of the White Dragon’s Ecclesia, Incredible Ecclesia’s Tribute, Ecclesia and the Dark Dragon’s summon, Verte’s Fusion, and the Traps’ draw | Start with the play you can afford to lose. If Ash stops Lukias’s search, Faimena is still in your Deck, and Ketu or Rahu can start Line 1 or Line 3 instead. |
| Droll & Lock Bird | Every add from your Deck after the first | Lines 2, 3, 6 and 8, and Line 1 started from Ketu, add twice from your Deck (Lukias and Ketu) and stall after the first. Line 5 adds nothing from your Deck, Line 1 from Lukias adds once, and Line 4 never. Urgula’s and Arthalion’s adds come from the GY, so Droll doesn’t stop them. When Ketu is your first add and you already hold another Dracotail monster, Ketu can take Faimena instead of Lukias: Faimena fuses without a second add. |
| Maxx “C” and Mulcharmy Fuwalos | Every Special Summon draws them a card (Fuwalos only counts summons from your Deck and Extra Deck) | Ash their Maxx “C”. Otherwise play the short lines: Lines 1, 3 and 4 have two Special Summons. See the summon table below. |
| Effect Veiler, Infinite Impermanence | A monster’s effect on the field: Arthalion’s return, Lukias’s search, Mululu’s Fusion, Cartesia’s Fusion, Ecclesia and the Dark Dragon, Secreterion’s revive, Verte’s Fusion | Faimena’s Fusion works from your hand, so it gets past both. Lead with the play you can lose. |
| Ghost Belle & Haunted Mansion | Urgula’s add, Arthalion’s return (both take cards from the GY), Phryxul’s and Secreterion’s revives, F&V’s revive | Every line uses Arthalion’s return at least once. If Belle stops it, carry on with the cards you have: you lose that card (Faimena, Mululu or Fallen of the White Dragon), not the line. |
| Bystial Magnamhut (and the other Bystials) | Banishes a LIGHT or DARK monster from your GY: Albion (no F&V), Fallen of the White Dragon (Arthalion can’t return it), Cartesia or Incredible Ecclesia (no End Phase return), Mululu, Phryxul | Use the GY card before they can banish it; Albion’s End Phase Set is the one most often lost. |
| Retaliating “C” | Summoned from their hand when you activate a Spell that Special Summons (Rahu, Branded Fusion, Ketu’s Fusion). While it’s face-up, every card that would go to a GY is banished instead: your Fusion Materials don’t Set anything, and Urgula and Arthalion have nothing to take back | Remove it before your next Fusion: Arthalion’s return, Gulamel’s destroy or F&V. Faimena’s, Mululu’s and Cartesia’s Fusions aren’t Spells, so they don’t let it in. |
| Nibiru, the Primal Being | Your fifth summon in their count | See the table below. Lines 1, 3 and 4 never reach five. |
| Crossout Designator | One card name for the turn | It’s usually Faimena or Lukias. Have a second route: with Faimena named, Rahu and Mululu still Fusion Summon. |
| Line | Summons | Special Summons (Maxx “C” draws) | From Deck or Extra Deck (Fuwalos draws) | Fifth summon (Nibiru) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Line 1 (Lukias or Ketu) | 3 | 2 | 2 | — |
| Line 2 | 6 | 5 | 4 | Arthalion |
| Line 3 (Rahu) | 3 | 2 | 2 | — |
| Line 4 (Mululu) | 3 | 2 | 2 | — |
| Line 5 | 9 | 8 | 7 | Arthalion |
| Line 5, from Incredible Ecclesia | 10 | 9 | 7 | Cartesia |
| Line 6 (Branded Fusion) | 8 | 7 | 4 | Faimena, from Phryxul |
| Line 7 | 4 | 4 | 3 | — |
| Line 8 | 8 | 7 | 5 | Secreterion |
| Line 9 | 10 | 9 | 6 | Arthalion |
Your hand traps
- Going first, you play your line and keep Ash, Effect Veiler and Nibiru for their turn. Mulcharmy Fuwalos is dead once you control a card, so it’s the monster you give up as Fusion Material. Maxx “C” still works on their turn.
- Going second, all of them are live. Fuwalos and Maxx “C” on their first summon, Ash on their first search, Veiler in their Main Phase only.
- Nibiru after their fifth summon: their Tributed monsters are gone, and the token they get has the total of their ATK and DEF.
Your hand trap as material
A hand trap that becomes Fusion Material can’t be used afterwards. If your only “another monster” is Ash or Veiler, decide before you start: the line, or the hand trap. A Fuwalos never costs you anything going first.
Matchups
| Deck | What to fear | Plan |
|---|---|---|
| Elfnote (and the Elfnote engine) | Elfnote June Pride in the center Main Monster Zone: only center-zone monsters can attack, and its Quick Effect returns it to summon an Elfnote each from their hand, Deck and GY. Elfnotes: Welcome Home stops card effects destroying their center monster. Elfnotes: Rhapsodia of Madness negates one of your face-up cards. Baronne de Fleur negates. They summon many times a turn. Their hand traps: Ash, Fuwalos and Maxx “C” in nearly every list, Ghost Ogre 75%, Droll 75%, Purulia 50%, Veiler 50%. | Nibiru and Veiler on their long turn: Veiler on June Pride’s Quick Effect. Against Welcome Home, don’t destroy the center monster: Horn or Arthalion returns it to the Extra Deck, Albaz makes Mirrorjade with it, Mirrorjade banishes it. Going second, Arthalion with two or three materials from your hand returns their Synchros. |
| Dracotail (the mirror) | Secreterion Dragon: while they control it, your Special Summoned Dragons and Spellcasters can’t activate effects. That’s almost your whole deck: Gulamel, Mululu, Cartesia, both Ecclesias, Albaz, Sanctifire. Arthalion and Gulamel come back from their GY whenever 2 or more monsters go to a GY at once. Gulamel destroys whenever they activate a Dracotail card. Their hand traps: Ash, Fuwalos, Maxx “C” in nearly every list, Droll 82%, Magnamhut 76%, Veiler 71%, Purulia 53%, Ghost Belle 47%. | Answer Secreterion with what it doesn’t stop: Horn (it’s usually in Attack Position), F&V, Mirrorjade (a Wyrm), and Faimena’s Fusion from your hand. Sting their Arthalion or Gulamel out of their GY before you send 2 monsters to the GY at once. An Ecclesia in your GY makes their Dragon that Devours the Dogma unaffected by your cards. |
| Branded | Super Polymerization: nothing can respond to it, and it fuses your monsters away; Sanctifire and Alba-Lenatus can’t be used as material. Mirrorjade: if your card makes it leave the field, all your monsters are destroyed in the End Phase. Rindbrumm negates Fusion, Synchro and Link effects: Arthalion, Gulamel, Ecclesia and the Dark Dragon, Verte. Branded Retribution negates effects that Special Summon. Their hand traps: Ash, Fuwalos, Maxx “C” in nearly every list, Magnamhut 77%, Droll 69%. | Flame their Branded Fusion, Branded in High Spirits or Nadir Servant; it can’t respond to Super Polymerization. Return Mirrorjade with Horn or Arthalion (back to the Extra Deck: no wipe). Sting the Albion in their GY before their End Phase, and they don’t Set F&V. Keep fewer monsters on the field into Super Polymerization: in Line 5, make Sanctifire with the Fallen of the White Dragon on your field. |
| Kewl Tune (and the Kewl Tune engine) | Kewl Tune Loudness War: their other Tuners can’t be targeted or destroyed. Kewl Tune B2B: when you activate a monster effect, it brings back a Tuner and Synchro Summons, twice a turn. Kewl Tune RS negates a face-up card in the Main Phase. Their hand traps: Ghost Belle 100%, Effect Veiler 100%, Infinite Impermanence 81%, Droll 71%, Ghost Ogre 65%, Crossout Designator 61%. | Mululu’s negate, Mirrorjade’s banish and Albaz don’t target, so they get past Loudness War. Ghost Belle stops Urgula’s and Arthalion’s GY adds: count on fewer Faimena loops. Every monster effect you use gives B2B a chance, so plan how many you need. |
| Sky Striker | Sky Striker Mecha - Widow Anchor negates one of your monsters. Sky Striker Mecha Modules - Multirole stops you responding to their Spells. Almost every card is a Set Quick-Play. Their hand traps: Droll 90%, Ghost Belle 34%, Crossout Designator 30%. | Flame is at its best here: chain it to their Spells before Multirole is used that turn. Sting banishes Spells from their GY, which Engage and their Ace monsters count. Urgula as material destroys a Set card. See the Sky Striker Field Guide for their side. |

Why these ratios
- 3 Pan and 3 Urgula: they’re the Dracotail monsters you can give up. Each one Sets a card, and Urgula brings Faimena back.
- 3 Incredible Ecclesia and 3 Cartesia: more ways into Line 5, and spare monsters for Arthalion’s hand material.
- 3 Nibiru and 3 Effect Veiler, no Droll: for a meta of long Synchro and Fusion turns. Most Dracotail lists play Droll instead.
- One Albion the Branded Dragon: lines that need two Albions aren’t in this guide.
Single copies the lines need in the Deck
- Branded Fusion, for Verte Anaconda.
- Rahu, Set by Lukias, Mululu or Urgula in most lines.
- Phryxul, for Branded Fusion’s Albion and Sanctifire.
- Fallen of Albaz, for Line 5’s Sanctifire and for Ecclesia and the Dark Dragon and Incredible Ecclesia on their turn. Ecclesia and the Dark Dragon also summons it from your GY, so if you draw it, make it Fusion Material.
Easy to forget
- One Set per Dracotail name per turn. A second Urgula or Faimena as material Sets nothing.
- Faimena’s discard is a cost: it doesn’t Set. It Sets only as Fusion Material.
- Mululu’s Fusion works from the field only. Normal Summon it first.
- Arthalion and Gulamel need a monster from your hand. Arthalion returns one card per hand material, Gulamel takes exactly one.
- Gulamel needs your Dracotail activation to destroy, and it’s once a turn.
- Traps Set this turn wait for their turn. Rahu and Ketu, Normal Spells, can be activated the turn they’re Set.
- Synchro and Link before Rahu, Mululu, Branded Fusion or the hand-summoned Fallen of the White Dragon. Verte’s Fusion is always last.
- Branded Fusion must be in your Deck for Verte.
- Ecclesia and the Dark Dragon returns in the End Phase whatever you locked. It isn’t a Special Summon.
- Cartesia and Incredible Ecclesia only come back to your hand in the End Phase if a Fusion went to your GY that turn.
- Ketu Fusion Summons only if they control a monster. Going second, it’s a search and a Fusion.
- Mirrorjade: if their card makes yours leave the field, all their monsters are destroyed in the End Phase. Against theirs, return it to the Extra Deck rather than destroying it.
