Card names

In the gameThis guide saysWhat it does
Sky Striker Ace - RayeDARK Warrior · Level 4RayeQuick Effect: Tributes itself to summon an Ace Link to the Extra Monster Zone. From the GY, it comes back if one of your Ace Links is destroyed by battle or removed by their card effect.
Sky Striker Ace - RozeLIGHT Warrior · Level 4RozeSummons itself from your hand when another Ace is summoned. Zero's Quick Effect needs it in your Deck or GY.
Sky Striker Mobilize - Engage!Normal SpellEngageWith your Main Monster Zone empty, searches any Sky Striker card, and draws 1 with 3+ Spells in your GY. No once-per-turn limit.
Sky Striker Mobilize - Linkage!Quick-Play SpellLinkageWith your Main Monster Zone empty, sends another card you control to summon an Ace Link to the Extra Monster Zone. After it, only Sky Striker Aces from the Extra Deck that turn.
Sky Striker Mecha - Widow AnchorQuick-Play SpellWidow AnchorWith your Main Monster Zone empty, negates a face-up monster this turn, and takes control of it until the End Phase with 3+ Spells in your GY.
Sky Striker Mecha - Hornet DronesQuick-Play SpellHornet DronesWith your Main Monster Zone empty, summons a Sky Striker Ace Token (1500/1500 with 3+ Spells in your GY). The Token can become Kagari.
Sky Striker Special Maneuver - Lemnisgate!Quick-Play SpellLemnisgateShuffles pairs of Ace monsters and Sky Striker Spells from your GY into the Deck, and bounces a card for every 3. From the GY, when a Sky Striker monster is Special Summoned to your field, it Link Summons an Ace Link.
Reinforcement of the ArmyNormal SpellReinforcement of the ArmyAdds a Level 4 or lower Warrior from your Deck: Raye, or Roze.
Other SpellSpare SpellAny other Spell you can give up to Linkage: Pot of Desires, Upstart Goblin, Mystical Space Typhoon, Radiant Typhoon Vision. Never Forbidden Crown.

Sky Striker asks you the same three questions every turn — is the Main Monster Zone empty, is the Extra Monster Zone free, and which once-per-turn effects are still unused. Everything below is built on those.

Link Attribute From Raye or Linkage? Job
Sky Striker Ace - Kagari FIRE Yes Adds a Sky Striker Spell from the GY. 1500 ATK +100 per Spell in your GY.
Sky Striker Ace = Zero LIGHT Yes Searches a Sky Striker Spell from Deck or GY. Quick Effect: Raye + Roze, destroy 1.
Sky Striker Ace - Shizuku WATER Yes End Phase search if it was summoned that turn.
Sky Striker Ace - Hayate WIND Yes Attacks directly, mills a Sky Striker card after it battles.
Prototype Sky Striker Ace - Amatsu DARK Yes Rewrites a 2000+ ATK monster’s effect into “destroy your Ace Link”.
Sky Striker Ace - Azalea DARK No 2 LIGHT/DARK monsters. Destroys 1 card on summon.
Sky Striker Ace - Zeke DARK No Banishes 1 monster until their next End Phase.
Sky Striker Ace - Camellia DARK No Mills at 3 or fewer Spells. When sent to the GY, sends one of theirs to the GY.
Every turn, check these three.
  1. Main Monster Zone emptyFor Engage, Linkage, Widow Anchor and Hornet Drones. A Normal Summoned Raye, Roze, a revived Raye, Zero’s Quick Effect, the Hornet Token and stolen monsters all break it. Tag out, Link away, or send it.
  2. One Extra Monster ZoneRaye’s tag and Linkage only summon there. Free it by using the Link as material, sending it with Linkage, or paying it to Droplet or Zeke.
  3. Once per turnEach Ace Link by name (one Kagari a turn), each Raye effect, one Zero effect, and one Crown, Droplet, F&V, Desires and TTT. Engage and Linkage have no limit.

Zero's Quick Effect

Needs a Raye and a Roze in your Deck or GY, and puts both in your Main Monster Zone. Use Widow Anchor before it.

Linkage's lock

After it resolves, only Sky Striker Ace monsters from the Extra Deck. Decide on S:P Little Knight or Exciton first.

Spell count

Spells in your GY What turns on
3 or more Engage draws, Widow Anchor steals, Hornet Token becomes 1500/1500
3 or fewer Azalea sends itself away after destroying, Camellia mills
Each Spell Kagari +100 ATK, Shizuku gives their monsters −100 ATK/DEF

Every Spell counts, not just Sky Striker ones.

Counting rules

  1. The card that’s resolving doesn’t count itself.
  2. Spells activated in the same chain only reach the GY once the chain ends.
  3. Costs land as you activate, and cards an effect sends or discards land as it resolves, without waiting for the chain to end: Droplet’s cost, Vision’s discard, the card Linkage sends. Linkage’s send is part of its effect, not a cost, so a negated Linkage sends nothing.
  4. Taking a Spell out of the GY lowers the count. When you’re chasing 3, search from the Deck.

Going first

The goal is one Link, 2–3 set Quick-Plays, an empty Main Monster Zone, and ideally 3+ Spells in the GY.

Default line

Engage + Raye.
1

Activate Sky Striker Mobilize - Engage! before you summon anything, and search Sky Striker Mobilize - Linkage!

Engage needs your Main Monster Zone empty, so it goes before Raye. Searching Linkage first also keeps a way out: if they use Droll & Lock Bird on this search, play Raye + Linkage instead (see Other hands).

End board

Zero (2000) in the Extra Monster Zone, two set Quick-Plays, and Raye, Kagari and 3 Spells in the GY.

What it stops

  • Widow Anchor negates one monster, and with 3 Spells in the GY it can steal it.
  • Lemnisgate shuffles 2 Aces and 2 Spells back and bounces a card.
  • Zero’s Quick Effect destroys a card and brings out Raye + Roze.
  • Amatsu from Raye’s tag stops one effect of a monster they control with 2000+ ATK.
  • If they remove Zero, Raye revives.

Variations

Hornet Drones in hand

Engage + Hornet Drones. You don’t need Raye. Use Hornet Drones before the Extra Monster Zone is filled.

  1. Activate Engage and search Widow Anchor.
  2. Activate Hornet Drones for a Token, and Link Summon Kagari with it. Kagari adds Engage back.
  3. Activate Engage again and search Linkage. Linkage sends Kagari and summons Zero.
  4. Zero adds a second Engage. It searches Lemnisgate or a second Widow Anchor and draws 1, since Hornet Drones, Engage and Linkage are 3 Spells in the GY. Set your Quick-Plays and pass.

You end with Zero, two set Quick-Plays, an extra card and 4 Spells in the GY, so Widow Anchor can steal. Take Engage back with Kagari, not Hornet Drones: the second Engage is what finds Linkage.

Their turn: Widow Anchor, Lemnisgate or a second Widow Anchor, Zero’s Quick Effect, Amatsu from Raye’s tag.

Linkage, no monster

Linkage + another Spell.

  1. Set a Spell, send it with Linkage, summon Zero, search Engage.
  2. Engage searches Widow Anchor. Set it and pass.

You end with Zero, a set Widow Anchor and 3 Spells in the GY. Feed Linkage a recyclable Spell, never Crown: a Sky Striker Spell can come back with Kagari.

Their turn: Widow Anchor, Zero’s Quick Effect, Amatsu from Raye’s tag.

Other hands

Hands the lines above don’t start from. Most end with Zero in the Extra Monster Zone.
Hand Route End board Their turn
Raye alone Normal Summon Raye and tag into Zero. Zero adds Engage. Engage searches Widow Anchor. Set it and pass. Zero, a set Widow Anchor, Raye in the GY Widow Anchor, Zero’s Quick Effect, Amatsu from Raye’s tag
Reinforcement of the Army alone Reinforcement of the Army adds Raye. Then play Raye alone. Zero, a set Widow Anchor, Raye in the GY Widow Anchor, Zero’s Quick Effect, Amatsu from Raye’s tag
Engage alone Engage searches Hornet Drones. Activate it for a Token, and Link Summon Kagari with it. Kagari adds Engage back. Activate Engage again and search Linkage. Linkage sends Kagari and summons Zero. Zero adds a second Engage, which searches Widow Anchor and draws 1. Set Widow Anchor and pass. If Hornet Drones is already gone, Engage searches Raye instead: Normal Summon Raye and tag into Zero. Zero adds a second Engage, which searches Widow Anchor. Set it and pass. Zero, a set Widow Anchor, an extra card, 4 Spells in the GY Widow Anchor, Zero’s Quick Effect, Amatsu from Raye’s tag
Two Engage, or Engage + Reinforcement of the Army One Engage searches Raye, or Reinforcement of the Army adds it. Then play the Default line. The last Engage draws 1, since 3 Spells are already in the GY. The Default line’s board and an extra card Widow Anchor, Lemnisgate or a second Widow Anchor, Zero’s Quick Effect, Amatsu from Raye’s tag
Engage + Roze Engage searches Raye. Then play “Roze in hand” from step 2 to step 5. Zero adds a second Engage, which searches Widow Anchor and draws 1. Set it and pass. Zero (3000), a set Widow Anchor, an extra card, 4 Spells in the GY, Lemnisgate in the GY Widow Anchor, Zero’s Quick Effect, Amatsu from Raye’s tag, Azalea from Lemnisgate in the GY
Raye + Roze Normal Summon Raye. Roze Special Summons itself from your hand. Link Summon Camellia with Raye and Roze, and mill Engage with it. Link Summon Kagari with Camellia, and add Engage back. Engage searches Widow Anchor. Link Summon Shizuku with Kagari. Set Widow Anchor, and turn the activation toggle on. In the End Phase, Shizuku adds Linkage. Activate Linkage: it sends Shizuku and summons Zero at 3000, and Zero adds Lemnisgate. Activate Lemnisgate to shuffle Shizuku and Linkage back, which puts Lemnisgate in the GY. Zero (3000), a set Widow Anchor, Raye, Roze and Lemnisgate in the GY Widow Anchor, Zero’s Quick Effect, Amatsu from Raye’s tag, Azalea from Lemnisgate in the GY
Roze alone Normal Summon Roze and Link Summon Shizuku with it. Turn the activation toggle on, so the game stops in your End Phase. In the End Phase, Shizuku adds Linkage. Activate Linkage: it sends Shizuku and summons Zero, and Zero adds Lemnisgate. Activate Lemnisgate to shuffle Shizuku and Linkage back, which puts Lemnisgate in the GY. Zero, with Roze and Lemnisgate in the GY Zero’s Quick Effect, Amatsu from Raye’s tag, Azalea from Lemnisgate in the GY
Hornet Drones alone Activate Hornet Drones for a Token, and Link Summon Kagari with it. Kagari adds Hornet Drones back. Activate it again for a second Token. Link Summon Zero with Kagari and the Token. Zero adds Engage. Engage searches Widow Anchor. Set it and pass. Zero, a set Widow Anchor, Kagari in the GY Widow Anchor, Zero’s Quick Effect, Amatsu from Raye’s tag
Hornet Drones + Widow Anchor Activate Hornet Drones for a Token, and Link Summon Kagari with it. Kagari adds Hornet Drones back. Activate it again for a second Token. Link Summon Zero with Kagari and the Token. Zero adds Engage, which searches Lemnisgate or a second Widow Anchor. Against a likely Droll & Lock Bird, Zero adds Lemnisgate instead. Set both Quick-Plays and pass. Zero, two set Quick-Plays, Kagari in the GY Widow Anchor, Lemnisgate or a second Widow Anchor, Zero’s Quick Effect, Amatsu from Raye’s tag
Engage + Linkage Activate Engage, then chain Linkage to it and send Engage. Linkage summons Zero, and Engage still resolves: search Widow Anchor. Zero adds a second Engage, which searches Lemnisgate or a second Widow Anchor. Set your Quick-Plays and pass. Zero, two set Quick-Plays, 3 Spells in the GY, Raye and Roze still in the Deck Widow Anchor, Lemnisgate or a second Widow Anchor, Zero’s Quick Effect, Amatsu from Raye’s tag
Raye + Linkage Normal Summon Raye and tag into Zero. Use Zero’s Quick Effect right away: Raye and Roze come out. Link Summon Camellia with them, and mill Lemnisgate with it. Set Linkage and pass. Camellia, a set Linkage, Lemnisgate in the GY Camellia sends their monster, Zero’s Quick Effect, Amatsu from Raye’s tag, Zeke from Lemnisgate in the GY
Engage + Raye, against Droll & Lock Bird Engage searches Linkage first. If they Droll & Lock Bird it, play Raye + Linkage: nothing in it adds from the Deck. Camellia, a set Linkage, Lemnisgate in the GY Camellia sends their monster, Zero’s Quick Effect, Amatsu from Raye’s tag, Zeke from Lemnisgate in the GY
No line Widow Anchor, Lemnisgate, the hand traps and the going-second cards start nothing on their own. — —
Amatsu from Raye’s tag: Zero’s Quick Effect Tributes Zero, which frees the Extra Monster Zone, and the Raye it brings out can tag straight into Amatsu. Do it before they activate their next monster effect: Amatsu only answers an effect activated by a monster they control with 2000 or more ATK. It turns that effect into one that destroys an Ace Link of yours, so Amatsu itself goes, and Raye can then come back from the GY. With Lemnisgate in the GY you get both: tag into Amatsu first, and when Amatsu goes, Raye’s return lets Lemnisgate Link Summon Azalea or Zeke with Raye and Roze. If you need that destroy or banish right away, skip Amatsu and use Lemnisgate as soon as Zero brings out Raye and Roze.
Raye + Linkage on their turn: Linkage sends Camellia, which moves to their field and sends one of their monsters to the GY, and it summons your second Zero. Zero’s Quick Effect destroys a card and brings Raye and Roze back, and Lemnisgate in the GY turns them into Zeke, which banishes a monster. All three run through the set Linkage: if they destroy or negate it, you get none of them.
Roze alone and Raye + Roze on their turn: Zero’s Quick Effect brings out Raye and Roze and destroys a card. That summon lets you banish Lemnisgate from the GY to Link Summon a Link-2 Ace with Raye and Roze on the spot: Azalea destroys a card, or Zeke banishes a monster. Raye + Roze pays for this with the Widow Anchor steal: it ends with only 2 Spells in the GY.
Hornet Drones + Widow Anchor on their turn: use Widow Anchor first, then Zero’s Quick Effect. That leaves Kagari and Zero in the GY with enough Spells for a set Lemnisgate to shuffle 2 + 2 and bounce a card.
Roze in hand

Engage + Raye + Roze. Get Roze into the GY, where Zero’s Quick Effect can use it.

  1. Activate Engage and search Widow Anchor.
  2. Normal Summon Raye. Roze Special Summons itself from your hand.
  3. Link Summon Camellia with Raye and Roze. Camellia mills Lemnisgate.
  4. Link Summon Kagari with Camellia. Kagari adds Engage back.
  5. Activate Engage again and search Linkage. Linkage sends Kagari and summons Zero, with +1000 ATK from the DARK Raye and LIGHT Roze in your GY.
  6. Zero adds a second Engage, which searches Lemnisgate or a second Widow Anchor and draws 1. Set your Quick-Plays and pass.

You end with Zero (3000), two set Quick-Plays, an extra card and 4 Spells in the GY. Lemnisgate waits in the GY: on their turn, when Zero’s Quick Effect brings out Raye and Roze, banish it to Link Summon Azalea with them, and Azalea destroys a card. Don’t use it on your own turn when Kagari or Zero arrives.

Their turn: Widow Anchor, Lemnisgate or a second Widow Anchor, Zero’s Quick Effect, Amatsu from Raye’s tag, Azalea from Lemnisgate in the GY.

Order of operations.
  1. Read the boardWhich monsters negate, which can’t be targeted, what protects what.
  2. Switch off protectionEverything else opens up after it.
  3. Open unstoppableA card they can’t stop: Forbidden Droplet sending a monster, Forbidden Crown, or The Fallen & The Virtuous (its send is a cost).

  6. Count lethalCount it before you commit. If it isn’t there, set up and grind instead.

Which answer

Card Use it when Watch out
Sky Striker Mecha - Widow Anchor Default. The target has no Quick Effect to dodge with. Targets. The steal needs 3+ Spells, and the stolen monster sits in your Main Monster Zone: Link it away.
Forbidden Crown The target can’t be targeted, has a Quick Effect, or must not be Tributed or used as material. Makes it indestructible and unaffected. Never pair it with your own removal.
Forbidden Droplet Two or more monsters, or an omni-negate on board. Costs cards. Send a monster so they can’t respond with monster effects.
The Fallen & The Virtuous Any face-up card, backrow included. Targets, and destroys.
Zero’s Quick Effect An untargetable monster you want destroyed. Puts Raye and Roze in your Main Monster Zone.
Sky Striker Special Maneuver - Lemnisgate! Protected monsters, or Fusions you want back in their Extra Deck. It shuffles an equal number of Ace monsters and Sky Striker Spells from your GY into the Deck, and bounces 1 card for every 3 shuffled: 2 + 2 for one bounce. That lowers your Spell count.

Lethal math

Kagari 1500 + 100 per Spell. Zero 2000. Hayate attacks directly. Linkage gives +1000 if a LIGHT and a DARK Ace are on your field or in your GY. Each Linkage needs a different Ace name.

OTK lines

Going second into an empty field, or once you’ve cleared it. Monsters you summon in the Battle Phase can still attack, and Linkage is a Quick-Play, so most of this happens mid-battle.
Hand Route Damage
Raye alone (Reinforcement of the Army or Engage can fetch it) Normal Summon Raye and attack. Tag Raye into Zero and attack; Zero adds Linkage. Linkage sends Zero for Kagari (2500), and attack; Kagari adds Linkage back. Linkage sends Kagari for Hayate (2500), and attack. 8500
Raye + Linkage Normal Summon Raye and attack. Tag Raye into Hayate and attack; Hayate sends Roze from the Deck. Linkage sends Hayate for Kagari (2500), and attack; Kagari adds Linkage back. Linkage sends Kagari for Zero (3000), and attack. Zero’s Quick Effect brings out Raye and Roze, and both attack. 11500
Roze + Engage or Linkage With Engage, search Linkage first. Normal Summon Roze, Link Summon Amatsu with it, then Hayate with Amatsu. Hayate attacks and sends Lemnisgate. Linkage sends Hayate for Kagari (2600), and attack; Kagari adds Linkage back. Linkage sends Kagari for Zero (3000), and attack. Zero’s Quick Effect brings out Raye and Roze, and both attack. Tag Raye into Shizuku, and attack. 11600 (11700 with Engage in the GY)
Hornet Drones alone (Engage can fetch it) Hornet Drones’ Token becomes Kagari, which adds Hornet Drones back. Link Summon Hayate with Kagari, attack, and send Lemnisgate. Activate Hornet Drones again: its Token lets Lemnisgate in the GY Link Summon Zero with the Token and Hayate. Zero attacks, then its Quick Effect brings out Raye and Roze, and both attack. Tag Raye into Shizuku, and attack. 8000
Linkage + a Spell to Set Set the Spell and send it with Linkage for Kagari, which adds Linkage back. Link Summon Hayate with Kagari, attack, and send Lemnisgate. Linkage sends Hayate for Zero, and attack. Zero’s Quick Effect brings out Raye and Roze, and both attack. Put Raye in the zone under an Extra Monster Zone, and tag it into Amatsu in that Extra Monster Zone. Amatsu points down at Raye’s old zone, so Lemnisgate in the GY can Link Summon Shizuku there with Roze. Both attack. 9500

Hand traps

Your three tools

  1. Recover, don’t protect. A negated Engage still goes to the GY. Kagari brings it back, and the second one resolves.
  2. Respond, don’t sit. Raye’s and Zero’s Quick Effects Tribute themselves as a cost, so Veiler and Imperm find nothing. Only works if that effect is unused this turn.
  3. Punish. Any monster hand trap used in your Main Phase switches on Triple Tactics Talent. Its hand-look mode can’t be stopped by Ash or Droll.

Their hand traps

Hand trap Hits Your answer
Ash Blossom Engage, Zero’s search, Desires, Upstart, Vision, mills Kagari recycles the negated Engage
Droll & Lock Bird Every Deck-to-hand add after the first Make the first add the one you need, then use GY recursion, Hornet, Linkage

Bystial Raye and Roze in the GY Keep Roze in the Deck
Order against Droll: with no monster in hand, Engage first. Holding Raye, Hornet or Linkage, Desires first is a fine Ash bait. With Engage + Raye, search Linkage first: if they Droll it, Raye + Linkage still makes a full board (see Other hands).

Nibiru

Hits your fifth summon, so count. If it lands and Raye is in the GY, Raye revives. Raye + the Primal Being Token make Azalea, which destroys Nibiru and clears your Main Monster Zone.

Why these ratios

From the builder’s notes on Master Duel Meta:

Easy to forget

  • Ash hits draws too: Pot of Desires, Upstart Goblin, Vision, TTT’s draw mode. An Ashed Desires still banishes its 10 cards.
  • Kagari is once per turn. A Linkage chain needs a different Ace name each time.
  • Zero gets one effect per turn: search on your turn, Quick Effect on theirs.
  • Zero searches Engage, not Widow Anchor, while an Engage is left in your Deck. Engage gets the same card and puts one more Spell in your GY. Only in the End Phase, when Engage can’t be activated, does Zero take the Quick-Play itself.
  • The Raye from Zero’s Quick Effect can still tag on their turn, into Amatsu.
  • A negated activation still counts toward once-per-turn. A Veilered Zero search uses up Zero’s turn.
  • Search from the Deck when chasing 3 Spells. Taking a Spell out of the GY drops the count.
  • Tokens vanish when they leave the field. They never count as a DARK Ace in the GY for Linkage’s +1000.
  • No Setting in the End Phase. A card Shizuku searches can’t be Set that turn, but a Quick-Play like Linkage can still be activated from your hand in that End Phase. Turn the activation toggle on so the game stops there.
  • Quick-Plays from hand work any time on your own turn, End Phase included, but never on theirs.
  • Links have no Level, so Elfnote Lucina can’t bounce them.
  • Link material isn’t a Tribute or Synchro material. Clown Crew’s and Kewl Tune’s triggers don’t fire.
  • Pot of Desires can banish your only Roze: about a 29% chance with 35 cards left, which switches off Zero’s Quick Effect.
Two rulings that trip people up. Normal and Quick-Play Spells only go to the GY once the whole chain has resolved. Zero’s Quick Effect needs a Raye and a Roze both available — one alone isn’t enough.
